A week after police raids at rowdies’ houses in Bengaluru and city outskirts, Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths raided nine officials under suspicion of corruption.
During the early morning jolt to officials, the ACB raided houses and properties and have reportedly come across documents worth several crores.
Places like Bengaluru district, Bidar, Kolar and Mangaluru were selected a few days in advance by officials to raid.
As per reports, G Sridhar, ED, Division of Urban Development, Office of Mangaluru DC, RP Kulkarni, CE, KIADB Bengaluru head office, Suresh Mohra, Junior Engineer at Bidar were raided.
Similarly, Kolar district’s Malur City Planning Authority’s Assistant Director HR Krishnappa, Deputy Conservator of Forest, Mandya district’s Venkatesh T, Siddarama Mallikarjun, Assistant Executive Engineer at Hescom, Vijaypur, Ballari district’s Electrical Inspector AN Vijay Kumar, Senior Motor vehicle inspector at Koramangala RTO office, A Krishnamurthy’s properties were raided.
As per reports, the officials are still checking files and documents from the raids. Meanwhile, as per reports, RP Kulkarni, Chief Engineer, Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Board (KRIDB) Bengaluru head office has properties worth Rs 15 crore. The officials have come across his apartments in Rajajinagar, Jayanagar and Banashankari in Bengaluru and houses at Mysuru which have been given out for rent.
