There has been a systematic campaign going on against Hindus, especially RSS-BJP supporters working in Gulf countries. Many Hindus lost their jobs, had to shut their businesses for supporting Citizenship Amendment Act, thanks to intimidation and harassment by radicalised Muslim NRIs from Kerala.
A Popular Front supporter Arif Ihsan wrote in a social media post that “99% of Nair/Menon/Panikkar/Varier castes are Sanghis. Those in the Gulf take note.” Another Popular Front supporter working in the Gulf has asked his colleagues in Kerala to liquidate Pretheesh Vishwanath, a Hindu activist not related to RSS.
“They always say Sanghis but their real target is Hindus. A CPI(M) supporter had to shut his shop in a Gulf country after a group of SDPI activist harassed him for putting up a Facebook post against Tablighi Jamaat. So those Marxists who presume that it is an attack against RSS-BJP workers, they are mistaken” said Rajesh Kumar, an NRI.
Dr Ajith Sreedharan, a native of Karunagapilly in Kollam and an orthopaedic specialist with over 30 years of experience, employed at Naseem Healthcare LLC in Qatar for the past 11 years was sacked for condemning the violence during anti-CAA protests. In a local Malayalam portal, the anchor said a list of Sanghis working in the Gulf has been prepared and efforts are being made to ‘send them back to Kerala’. They won’t be allowed to work in the Muslim countries.
A couple of Muslim journalists are also coordinating the efforts to target ‘Modi supporters’.
It is not only Hindus who are at the receiving end. A video of an NRI Muslim had emerged in which he says he was targeted and harassed after his family members “lighted the lamp” in support of health workers on PM Modi’s call.
Meanwhile, a huge anti-India campaign supported by Pakistani elements, radical NRI Muslims and some Indian-origin journalists are underway in Gulf countries.
