Kerala continues to record a rise in COVID-19 cases with 97 new positive cases and one Covid death today. AIR correspondent reports, among the fresh Covid cases 65 are returnees from abroad and 29 from other States and three people contracted the disease through contact.
Bringing great relief 89 persons recovered from the disease today. The total active Covid cases in Kerala rose to 1358, while the death toll due to Covid reached 21 in the State. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the situation is getting serious that demands great caution.
He urged people to strictly follow the Covid guidelines as a careless attitude can lead to great disaster. He further said the surveillance will be tightened and people under quarantine will be more strictly monitored.
