More coronavirus cases have been reported among nuns in Ernakulam district. 18 nuns of Aluva Chunangamveli St. Mary’s Province have been tested positive for coronavirus. These nuns had come in contact with late Sister Claire who succumbed to coronavirus.
Earlier, two nuns had been diagnosed with the disease who had come in primary contact with the late sister. Followed by it, now 18 more nuns have contracted with the infection. That means 20 persons have now infected through contact.
Meanwhile, two students who appeared fro KEAM entrance examination in the capital city have been tested positive for coronavirus. The students appeared exam at centres in Thycaud and Karamana.
One of them hailing from Karakulam wrote exam at Karamana centre already with symptoms of coronavirus and was allowed to write the exam in isolation. Authorities are tracing those who accompanied student from Pozhiyoor and wrote exam at Thycaud centre.
