A 16-year- old girl who was molested was married off to the accused in the case. Three people were arrested following the incident that took place in Panavoor of Kerala. Al Ameer (23), a resident of Panavoor, is the main accused in the case.
According to the police, Al-Amir kidnapped and raped the girl four months ago, following which the family filed a complaint. Fearing arrest, he sent the girl back home. However, the police arrested him from his own house in Nedumangate, the night before the family reported that the girl was missing.
The locals informed the police about the marriage. According to the police, the accused thought that the case against him would be over if he marries the girl. Al Ameer was arrested on Monday evening. The police said that he is accused in several cases. The accused will be produced in court on Tuesday.
